License

The Tscope functions, documentation and development environment all have different licenses. The bottom line of these licenses is that you can keep your money in your pockets.

You can reward the Tscope developers for their effort by referring to the Behavior Research Methods article that describes Tscope. Here's the reference:

Stevens, M., Lammertyn, J., Verbruggen, F., & Vandierendonk, A. (2006). Tscope: A C library for programming cognitive experiments on the MS Windows platform. Behavior Research Methods, 38, 280-286.

The Tscope functions are covered by the Gnu public license. This means that Tscope is free, open source and guaranteed to remain free. Tscope functions cannot be included in commercial programs (you can't ask money for your program, but you can ask money to write it).

The Tscope documentation is covered by the Gnu free documentation license. This license is similar to the Gnu public license.

The Tscope development environment (Cygwin4tscope) inherits the licenses of its constituent parts. Cygwin is covered by the Gnu public license. Allegro is freeware, just like the Crimson editor. The installation program of the development environment is covered by the Gnu public license.
